For intercontinental arrivals, either Rome airport (2 hours by train) or Bologna airport (less than 1 hour by train) are convenient. Smaller Florence airport is about 20 miles from the property. Pisa is also closeby for continental arrivals.
TRAINS--Trenitalia.it and Italo.it are the two main rail services that connect the main train stations in Rome (2 hours), Bologna (0.5 hours) and Milan (2.5 hours). On Trenitalia, the fast train is the Freccia Rossa. All Italo trains are fast.
CAR RENTALS--Available at all airports. At the Florence train station, Hertz is at the station and Avis/Budget a short walk on Borgo Ognissanti.

From Bologna:
By train: take the shuttle train or a taxi (E22) from the airport to the main train station. Take the express train (Frecca Rossa) fromBologna to Florence (30"). From the train station, you can travel by taxi (about USD100) or rent a car. .
